Well, seeing how the creators themselves said that Crona is a character who's gender is completely up to the fans so that he/she can be matched with anyone, I feel that Crona is gender-less. Of course Crona is usually called a he in the anime and manga, that is because of the common rule of language that if there is even one male in a group of females, you call it a group of men.
